Barnaby Flanders is a pinot noir and chardonnay tragic. Nursing a deep love affair with the wines of Burgundy. Having explored the world, he decided to found Garagiste Wines on the Mornington Peninsula in 2006. The focus here is beautifully crafted wines that speak of where they are grown.
His modesty priced ‘Stagiaire’ pinot noir is widely regarded as one of the best-valued pinot noirs in Australia. And we have to agree. His sub-regional pinots and chardonnays are like roadmaps of the Mornington Peninsula expressing true vineyard identity and regional differences.
