Bleasdale, under the watchful eye of winemaker Paul Hotker, picks up more gold medals, trophies and 95+ point scores than just about any winery I can think of. The Malbecs are lovely expressions of this relatively rare variety in Australia, and the Cabernet Sauvignon based wines are world-class with a proven track record of cellaring well. When it comes to white wines, Paul prefers to source grapes from the cooler Adelaide Hills just next door. The 2021 Bleasdale Chardonnay is ridiculously delicious and amazing value at around $20 a bottle. The 95 Point Halliday score is a reminder of this, and it's a firm favourite in our store.
So, if you live by the mantra 'it's what's inside the bottle that counts and that you don't need to spend a fortune to drink great wine, Bleasdale is a name to remember and buy with confidence.
