Listed in the Top Reds Under $30 category, James gave our 2019 Second Innings Malbec 95 points and said: "Bleasdale can't put a foot wrong with malbec at whatever price point it chooses. This is flooded with plum varietal fruit, but also has the texture and back-palate structure that many malbecs miss out on. Winemaker Paul Hotker is a wizard."This wine shows vibrant primary fruit flavours of plums, red berries and pepper spice. A plush, juicy red with velvety smooth tannins.

Destemmed to open fermenters, approximately 20% whole berries. Pre-ferment maceration 1–2 days. Up to 4 pumpovers per day. On skins for 7–10 days before racking to oak and tank for mlf. Matured 9 months in (10% new) seasoned French oak puncheons and hogsheads. Bleasdale can't put a foot wrong with malbec at whatever price point it chooses.
