An interesting ‘experimental’ red with masterful blending from Owen. Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Medium weight, energetic, you get the nebbiolo and the juicy pinot with cherries and tart plum fruit amidst savoury dried herbs and earth complexities. Spice notes in the mix too with fennel and anise adding extra layers of interest. Delicious wine. Decant well…

After completing his first vintage at 15 years old at Eastern Peake, he now also makes a superb range of minimal intervention sulphur free wines under his own label Latta that are quite frankly some of the best of their kind we we have ever tasted.
