It's hard to describe just how far the wines of Aurelien Laherte have come in the last 10 years. These are wines that are fiercely terroir driven, made by a dynamic and highly dedicated young winemaker. Seventh generation vigneron Aurelien took over his family's vineyards with a clear vision to demonstrate what a dramatic shift in viticulture, pushing the grapes to maturity and focussing on the individual sites in their holdings could achieve. Aurelien has identified 27 distinct terroirs around the Coteaux Sud d'Epernay and Valle de la Marne that he farms and his fastidious viticulture combine to create wines that are so vibrant and full of personality. The benefits of evermore intensive viticulture and growing volumes of reserve wines see the wines of Laherte Freres continuing upwards on their already skyrocketing trajectory.
