Dilworth and Allain is a creative wine project started in 2017 by the talented duo Chris Dilworth and Louique Allain. We are pretty convinced these beautiful thoughtfully crafted wines hold the mantle of some of the finest that have arrived through our doors here recently at Wine Experience. Based in the chilly marginal region of Macedon Ranges in Victoria, the winemaking seems like a moving target but at this stage they make a barrel-fermented skin contact Riesling, a delicious and intriguing Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend, a Chardonnay from the old Cope-Williams vineyard, and a Pinot Noir from Doug Newnham’s famed Romsey site, which they help farm and share with their friend Joshua Cooper.
Chris is also viticulturist for Owen Latta at Eastern Peak, where the Dillworth & Allain wines are made. As we say, these are exciting cutting edge beautiful wines not to be missed by anyone with a shred of interest in what is going on in contemporary Australian winemaking!
