Nashi pear & honeydew melon with hints of blossom and a touch of citrus pith. PALATE The palate is generous with abundant mouth fi lling fruit sweetness. Tropical fl avours combine with classic pear characters and the fresh ‘sweet & sour’ of mandarin citrus pith. Finishes clean and refreshing. In 2022 our Pinot Grigio was sourced from Central Victoria as well as the King Valley. A strong growing season, interspersed with some rain events and disease pressures has resulted in our 2022 Grigio displaying a good mix of classic characters as well as those from the tropical spectrum. Clean, crisp and versatile, this is a wine for all occasions.

Residual Sugar = 1.4gm/L = Low Sugar and Keto Friendly wine. A great choice for a light, crisp keto friendly Pinot Grigio.

An early grigio adopter, Tar & Roses promotes the grape's natural blush colour. No filtration here. Fragrant in stone fruit, red apple and citrus scents with a flash of spiced pear. Subtle but highly effective. Hits the mark on the palate both flavour and texture-wise, with a super clean, brisk finish of bright acidity.

Producers notes
Tar & Roses home is in Nagambie Central Victoria and produces wines inspired by classic varietals from the Mediterranean and was named after the signature characteristics of Nebbiolo. The name also ties back to the winemaking team behind the venture, the legendary Don Lewis and his winemaking partner Narelle King. Following the passing of Don in 2017 this represents the final vintage of his great career with Narelle now carrying on the Tar & Roses tradition.
Tar & Roses produce one of Australia’s leading Pinot Grigio’s known for its characteristic dusty pink colour. Tar & Roses sources the majority of red fruit from areas across central Victoria such as Heathcote, an ideal region for Italian and Spanish varietals and classic ‘Australian’ Shiraz.
