This is a textbook Riesling from the Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Estate. Fresh pineapple and pear aromas lead to rich quince, ripe apple and spice flavours rounded off with balanced, mouthwatering acidity.
Maturation: 50% in traditional German 2500 liter barrels, 50% in stainless steel tanks.
Harvest: Selective hand-picking of fully ripe healthy fruit was followed by whole-bunch pressing. All wines for this cuvée had a minimum of 90° Oechsle.
Vineyards: The Estate Riesling is a cuvée from top sites in Wachenheim and Deidesheim. The winemaker Fritz Knorr has combined the structure of Deidesheim with the fruit and aroma of Wachenheim to create this perfectly balanced wine.

Ideal with pork dishes ( stuffed with apples / apricots ) or with sweet and sour chinese or spicy Indian dishes. Tried and tested with fish & chips!

The Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Estate is situated in the heart of the Pfalz wine growing region. Founded in 1597 by Bernhard Burklin the estate is still in the same family. In 1990, Bettina Burklin-von Guradze took over the reins to focus on high quality dry Riesling. The winery has incredible respect for their vineyard sites (a number of which are Grand Cru level) and has been farming biodyanmically for many years
