Medium green-yellow. Ripe pear, anise, tobacco, pepper and celery on the nose. Multilayered in texture, with apple and fresh grape flavours along with a touch of grapefruit. A finely chiselled acid structure gives this harmonious, appetizing wine noteworthy finesse. Finishes fruity and long.
For 20 years "Fass 4" has been representing the successful combination of elegance and power in Bernhard Ott Winery. The name goes back to the time when wine used to mature in big wooden barrels. A jury composed of clients then chose the best Veltliner from the particular vintage. "Fass 4", a Cuvée featuring the fruits from the top Feuersbrunn sites is a multi-layered wine of fantastic drinking pleasure.

Weingut Bernhard Ott is a family owned company since 1889. Bernhard is the fourth generation of the Ott family and has been leading the winery since 1995. The vineyards cover about 18ha in Feuersbrunn in the region Wagram in lower Austria. Ninety percent of the vineyard is planted with Gruner Veltliner which is available in different strengths. The Philosophy of Bernhard Ott is important: wine should be true to its nature; his wines are natural and fruity. This is also shown in the vinification: fermentation in stainless steel tanks and bottled with stelvin screw cap closures.
