A wine from several parcels with vines over 25yo. It’s from 60% clay giving firmness and backbone and 40% limestone which gives minerality and usually a little reduction.

Our notes

The Wine Front
A mix of vineyards across the folio of Tissot. Chardonnay a forte of this wonderful vigneron. Argile et calcaire, screams the back label! Mon dieu! All biodynamic vines too. Wonderful wine that’s more character-filled and rich than most of Tissot’s chardonnay, a bit more gras, but no slouch, just denser, toasty, honeyed, not really though, not like it’s soft, it feels brittle, placed on a salted cracker, licks of lemon curd too. Persistent is this wine, everlasting minerality and that salty kick that gives me a kick. It’s Flavour Town starring chardonnay but located in the hamlets of Jura. Complex, savoury, so darn delicious. A very detailed, wonderful Jura-strong wine. Love it.

Producers notes

Thé Tissot family producés a véry largé rangé of ‘small batch-singlé sité’ winés. Thé winémakér Stéphané is inféctiously passionaté and enthusiastic, intense, intelligent and also charismatic. Tissot is a talented and individualistic producer. Their savagnin and reds are always planted on clay for increased acidity. Chardonnay is planted on both clay and limestone, and is fermented with wild yeast and made in a very reductive way with a lot of the yeast lees. All vineyards are strictly biodynamic and the yields are kept very low. Wild ferments, extended lees contact and reductive handling is the style here

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
