Leeuwin Estate Art Series Riesling 2023 - Margaret River
Closure: Screw cap
Bottle size: 750ml
93 Points - Huon Hooke - The Real Review
Lively and fragrant, amongst chamomile, kaffir lime leaf, Thai basil and galangal, there is a bursting array of finger limes, lem on sherbet and grapefruit zest. Distantly there are subtleties of ocean spray, samphire and petrichor.
The palate is vibrant and racy, outlined again by a solid core of the citrus spectrum.Energy is revealed through a laced natural corridor, almost possessing a quartz-like tactile feel. The shape and frame is fine, elegant and long. Nuances of saltbush and corander seed through the mid-palate generate unassuming complexity.
Our notes
Perfect with Freshly shucked oysters, lime.
Reviews
"Very light straw/yellow hue with a lifted fragrance of gardenia and lemon/citrus blossoms, the wine is delicate, refined and dry, with a refreshing cleanness and lightness but also length of palate. Bracing acidity. Very smart, elegant riesling that begs to be accompanied by food, especially fish.”

"I have a soft spot for this wine – it’s from a region not renown for riesling; I love the green bottle and the John Olsen painting adorning it. It’s also a lovely drink. Fragrant with lemon blossom and jasmine and lightly flavoured with limes and lemons, green apple and fresh herbs. Not at all fruity, it’s dry with mouth-watering acidity, and there’s a cooling stoniness too."

"This was such a good season for white aromatics in Margaret River, so little wonder this riesling has turned out so well. Has a talcy floral aroma with lovely fresh fruit intensity supported by an oyster shell minerality, Linear and very long finish. Nice wine.”
