The Bar

The Wine Experience Bar is a bespoke 13 person neighbourhood wine bar nestled inside our established retail store. The wines on pour are unique and diverse, while the food offering consists of small share plates, charcuterie and cheese.

The bar and kitchen are open on a walk-in basis Wednesday to Sunday from 3pm, no bookings required.

Our passion for great wine has also led us to host a range of events and tastings through the bar - Winemaker Takeovers, Masterclasses, Food & Wine Pairings, Pop-Up Dining Experiences, and Tasting Flights. Upcoming events can be found on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

The Wine

At Wine Experience we are passionate about supporting and recommending wines that we truly believe in… and the bar is no different. Our rotating chalkboard and coravin lists are carefully curated from sixteen years of experience bringing the best local and international wines to the inner West (and Australia!). We love good wine, and know that you do too, so expect only the best in your glass.

The Space

Some of you may have met our inspired builder Robbie pottering about the bar space in 2020 - designing, sawing, hoisting, welding and adjusting until everything was 'just so'. Reclaimed timber has been used throughout, including gorgeous fire treated feature pieces similar to those used in our retail space. Much of the recycled timber pieces possess incredible histories, like those used in the upper hallway which were salvaged from the original Brisbane Arcade. The extraordinary lighting pieces were all handmade from reclaimed lampshades and other oddities. Even the surf-like curve of the pass is another bespoke beauty worthy of admiration. Every small detail of the bar design has been carefully thought through and personalised.

The space itself is intimate; designed so that guests can chat freely with the chef and staff about their experience. We have capacity for only nine guests around the curved timber bar, but there are two small outside tables for those who prefer an al fresco experience.
