Vintage 2023 was similar to Vintage 2022, with a later than usual start. The impact of the La Nina weather pattern resulted in very modest yields, due to the lower bunch and berry sizes. The upside is that this lower quantity has resulted in excellent quality across all wine styles. An aromatic nose of white stone fruit, citrus, grapefruit and subtle French oak lead to a palate that is balanced and intense, with white nectarine, green apple and citrus flavours. Showing the concentration resulting from the small berries produced in this vintage, you can enjoy this wine now; it also has the structure to gain richness with careful cellaring.

Another cracking Chardonnay from Bream Creek, there is lovey harmony and intensity of flavour here. It strikes the perfect balance between citrus/grapefruit and stonefruit, with French oak always playing a background part. Utterly delicious tassie Chardonnay that is easy to recommend. Scott

Overlooking the breathtaking seascape of Marion Bay and Maria Island in South Eastern Tasmania, Bream Creek is one of the first commercial vineyards planted in Tasmania which produces some of the finest boutique wines. The original consortium in 1973 planted 5 hectare of vines consisting mainly of Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer.
