Another remarkably good value Montepulciano from the organic winery Ciu Ciu in the Marche region of Central Italy, although this is from their organically farmed vineyards in nearby Abruzzo. It’s carries a bit of weight and offers super smooth savoury drinking with lush dark berry fruit infused with notes of liquorice, some woodsy/twiggy spice and freshly laid street tar, so typical of this variety. 

Brought into the country by one of Australia’s most renowned Italian importers who never seems to miss a beat. If you’ve tried and enjoyed our Ciu Ciu Bacchus Rosso from the Marche, then you need to try this Abruzzo beauty, too. 

 Organic and vegan friendly. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel, so the fruit is the driver here, not oak.
