The name comes from the French expression, ‘entre chien et loup’. Translated this is ‘between dog and wolf’. It is used to describe a specific time of day, just before night, when the light is so dim you can’t distinguish a dog from a wolf. It expresses that limit between the familiar, the comfortable versus the unknown and the dangerous, between domestic and wild. It is an uncertain threshold between hope and fear. This wine is produced with all these elements in mind; it is a blend of two vastly different winemaking styles.
The 2018 Dog & Wolf Pinot Noir is a combination of two parcels of fruit. The first, picked early, intense flavour, and concentration, made more in the house style, 30% whole bunch this year. The second, taken a little later, is 100% whole bunch, a wilder expression. Together these sit side by side in maturation, until being blended to find balance between power and elegance, creating ‘the dog & wolf’.
Production is limited to the quality of the season. Bottled without fining or filtration.
TWO TONNE TASMANIA BEGAN IN EARLY 2013 WHEN A YOUNG LOCAL WINEMAKER, RICKY EVANS, MANAGED TO NUDGE INTO THE TIGHTLY HELD TAMAR VALLEY. AN OPPORTUNITY AROSE, AND HE GRASPED IT, TTT BEGAN, YES, WITH A COUPLE OF TONNE OF PINOT NOIR. A SIMPLE AND LITERAL NAME, A REFERENCE AND REMINDER OF WHAT THIS PROJECT IS ALL ABOUT;
SMALL PARCELS | BIG LOVE.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
