100% volcanic Aligoté. 24 hours on skin. Lemons and limes, white flowers and freshly cut hay. Something a little richer and complex enough to drink with cheese. The bubbles won't get in the way.

Our notes

Light, fresh and delicious.

The Wine Front
Straight up aligote in a natural fizz. Sees 48 hours on skins before pressing off. From King Valley. You’d think it best served in a table wine (aligote), but no, here’s something out of the box. Scents like wild ferment/sour beer, yeasty and bright, lemony, floral, then there’s green apple and cucumber flavours. Indeed, I had this coconut milk drenched apple and cucumber Thai salad last night and my mind wandered to this wine. That being said, the wine spits out nice, tight fizz and feels fresh in its squeaky, puckering finish. It’s a wicked, chugging bubbles for splashing around on summery days with abandon. Done right.

Producers notes

At Terrason we specialise in not just making wine but importing from small Domaines in France. We aren’t chasing producers from any particular region, rather we are tasting through cellars and choosing the wines we love and the people we  have a connection with. All our producers are certified organic and make natural/honest wines. Expect to see varieties your not familiar with such as Ploussard, Savignin, Aligoté and even a little Cesar.

Our Yarra Valley and King Valley wines are all made from purchased fruit in the tradition of a negoce. Our growers run what the French call “lutte raisonnée” viticulture or “reasoned struggle”. The choices made must always be carried out with the vineyards health, longevity and sustainability in mind. Our wines don’t masquerade as something they are not and they are best described as “traditional”.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
