The plot of Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Le Clos des Varoilles Monopole became part of the domain in 2020. With 6ha, it is the fifth biggest Monopole of the Côte. Protected by the Combe Lavaux, it gives wines a great freshness, an advantage in the years of heat waves we are going through. It’s a big asset for the Domaine to have this very famous Monopole.
Character and freshness of Gevrey 1er cru with the Domain Prieuré Roch touch. Due to the location of the plot, the freshness of this great Gevrey-Chambertin is one of its characteristics. A chance in these times of heat waves.
