Made to be a drink now fruit-in-you-glass pinot, but will mature nicely with some age."- - Erinn Klein, Winemaker
A ruby red Pinot Noir with medium body, a balance of lifted, vibrant fruit flavours, and savoury earthiness. Sweet red-blood plum and sour cherry jump out of the glass, bursting with energy, whilst more grounded flavours like cinnamon, essence of spicy turmeric and crunchy tannins work to bring this together as tightly woven package.
One of the original Biodynamic pioneers in Adelaide Hils, Ngeringa is an astonishing producer crafting wines of compelling interest, character and vitality. Furthermore, the winemaking here by Erinn Klein is intuitive and creative and not entirely informed by excel spreadsheets or numbers.
Consequentially this pinot has a natural vibe and pin point varietal accuracy oozing charm and seduction with an array of lovely red pinot fruit like cherry and bright plum amidst a pleasing savouriness, a lick of stem and gently wild whole bunch and forest floor nuances. Don't miss this. Wonderful pinot of quite silly value! Well done Erinn and Janet.
