This is our warmest Pinot vineyard, so we are conscious of protecting the fruit from hot prevailing winds and high temperatures. The soils hold much of the afternoon heat so this is usually the first vineyard picked. Due to the increased exposure, this wine displays greater fruit punctuation supported by a firm yet dense tannin bed.

TASTING NOTE We have chosen not to provide traditional tasting notes for any of our wines. Our wines hopefully capture vineyard life and vitality. As such the wines are constantly evolving. The only tasting notes that matter are yours.
We recommend decanting this wine prior to serving. (14-16 degrees)

VINTAGE CONDITIONS 2018 growing season was broken into two halves. With a wet winter and spring, the
vines surged into summer with good vigour and available soil moisture (coupled
with high disease pressure). Summer shifted gear into above average temperatures
and below average rainfall.

Producers notes

Coldstrream Vineyard: This is our warmest vineyard and therefore the first vineyard we pick. Coldstream was planted in 1997 and sits at an altitude of 110m. The soils are made up of grey loam overlying clay and as the vineyard faces west, they hold much of the afternoon heat. The vines are vertically shoot positioned on a higher than normal trellis, offering as much shade as possible to the ground. Due to the increased exposure to the elements, wines from this vineyard tend to display greater fruit punctuation supported by a firm yet dense tannin bed.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
