Longview Fresco Nebbiolo 2019 - Adelaide Hills
Closure: Screw cap
Bottle size: 750 ml
Bright brick red in colour with crimson highlights, Nebbiolo Fresco displays aromas of fresh red berries overlaid by notes of roses and herbs. The palate is medium bodied with a cherry and strawberry core wrapped in savoury spice. The tannins are fine yet well-structured with balanced acidity, making this wine approachable when young and enjoyable on its own or with your favourite pasta.
This is not your normal Nebbiolo, although to smell it, it is definitely varietal and reminiscent of that noble Italian grape. The Fresco is light bodied and fresh, a Vino Novello’ as the Italians call it, with some carbonic maceration influence and no oak which lets the gorgeous fruit do the driving. Fresh cherry, rose petal, cranberry and crushed strawberries mingle with gentle savoury notes like dried herbs and earthen spice tones, ushering in a pure, racy palate that echoes the nose with similar flavours.
Longview is a stunning family owned Australian vineyard located just outside the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills. Set on undulating slopes reminiscent of classic old world estates, it has quickly established itself as one the most awarded vineyards in the region since its first vintage in 2001.
Brothers Peter and Mark Saturno were eager for a change from the big city lifestyle of New York City and decided they were ready to move back to their native South Australia to take on the challenge of producing the kind of premium, cool climate wines they had developed a passion for whilst abroad.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
