Lake Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 - Langhorne Creek
Bottle size: 750ml
Halliday Wine Companion Awards Best Value Winery of the Year 2022
Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances.
The concentrated palate has a lovely silky texture, showing chocolate and cassis flavours and a wonderfully long finish.
With careful cellaring this wine will age superbly for at least the next 10 years.
Our notes
This is a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon from Langhorne Creek, one of the most underrated regions in South Australia and a source of outstanding value. Tony Love writing for James Halliday, awarded it 97 Points, making it one of the genuine bargains in our store and the country!
It’s rich, smooth and powerful, yet perfectly balanced and brimming with life. Pin point varietal Cabernet fruit wrapped in high-quality French oak.
Gorgeous blackcurrant fruit is infused with attractive cedar oak and ripe Cabernet tannins. Drinking beautifully now, this has the structure to age for at least another 8 - 10 years.
Super impressive and a no brainer when it comes to drinking or cellaring! Load up. You will not be disappointed.
A compelling buy and highly recommended.

Producers notes
Lake Breeze is one of Australia’s most awarded boutique wineries, including being named Australia’s Champion Small Winery.
The Follett family have been grape growers in Langhorne Creek for over 120 years and winemakers for 27 years and have rapidly built an enviable reputation for consistently producing outstanding wines.
The Follett family vineyard was established in the 1880's by Arthur John Follett, the great grandfather of Greg Follett, the winemaker. The varieties grown on the vineyard include cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and chardonnay, with small blocks of grenache, merlot, petit verdot and white frontignac.
Only the best 30-40% of fruit is selected from the older vines on the property, to create wines with amazing depth of flavour. These wines include the highly acclaimed 'Bernoota' [Shiraz/Cabernet], Cabernet Sauvignon, Arthur's Reserve and Winemaker's Selection Shiraz labels.
Lake Breeze has enjoyed enormous success over the past 25 years, accumulating an extraordinary 32 trophies and over 125 gold medals at major Australian wine shows. Lake Breeze has been awarded the Champion Wine of Langhorne Creek on four occasions and more recently a trophy at the Adelaide Wine Show for the Arthur's Reserve blend.
