La Petite Mort The Rosso 2019 - Granite Belt
Bottle size: 750ml
This typical blend of northern Italian varietals is done in a classic style. More than just a pizza/pasta wine, this blend is for the more serious Nebbiolo and Barbera drinkers around who are looking for something that really punches above its weight. Gentle oak treatment and careful nursing of the rich fruit profile has produced an exceptional rosso that has proved to be quite popular thus far.
It shows the dusty dried cherry savoury fruit reminiscent of good Italian Nebbiolo, with added nuances of dried herbs and tarry earthen spice. It’s juicy, delicious, unhindered by new oak, just shy of medium-bodied with lashings of savoury Nebbiolo fruit and slightly rustic Nebbiolo tannins. Made with minimal sulphites too.
The more you sit with this in the glass, the more its starts looking Italian. Definitely one for the curious at heart who want to experience the best of what Queensland wines have to offer. Lots of personality and character here… a producer to watch carefully! CR
Unusual, confronting and a little left of the middle. La Petite Mort (LPM) is the home of our 'other' wines. These small batch, experimental wines are produced with minimal wine making intervention and put into bottle without filtering or fining to allow the raw essence of our experimentation to shine through. Rustic and characterful, LPM wines promise a unique sensory experience and a story behind every label.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
