The fruit was picked over various days through out vintage and in the winery was 100% destemmed. Whole berry ferments occurred using indigenous yeasts, they where plunged once or twice a day and generally lasted 2 weeks.

Following this the fruit was pressed to tank where it settled off large lees for a few days and then was transferred to ceramic amphora and old oak for 3 months of maturation. The wine was then blended to tank where it sat on fine lees for a further 5 months. Following this, a small sulphur addition was made and the wine was bottled without fining or filtration.

Our notes

A delightful Sangiovese blend from the Koerner boys. Extream drinkability, fresh acidy and the right vibe. For those in the mood for a walk on the wild side, this is highly recommended. This is a firm favourite of Michael's and sure to sell out fast.

Producers notes

Koerner Wine is a partnership between brothers Damon and Jonathan Koerner.

We grew up in the Clare Valley but have since spent time working and studying around Australia and abroad.

Our wines are produced from fruit grown in the Watervale area of the Clare Valley, with the majority coming from our family vineyard, Gullyview.

Gullyview vineyard has been owned and managed by Mum & Dad, (Christine & Anthony Koerner), for the past 38 years.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
