A medium bodied and elegant Shiraz, balanced and structured for drinking upon release, but with potential to cellar for several years to come.Gentle pressing and handling of the fruit, coupled with light handed oak treatment. Maturation in older French oak barrels ensures the wine is not over oaked and in balance with the structure and fruit characters of the wine.

The Vineyards are located in mid region of McLaren Vale and grown on the same soil composition of Blewitt Springs, sand with Iron Stone and underlying clay. Low yielding vineyards produces this wine of excellent Shiraz fruit and great intensity of fruit flavours and elegant structure.

Lovely intensity of rich Shiraz fruit flavours but with an elegant structure and tannin level that gives this wine a great drinkable quality. Bright fruits – black berry, black currants, plums, violets & delicate spice.

Our notes

Well, the S3 Shiraz 2018 has immense drinkability! It’s one of the best value South Australian Shiraz’s in our store, loaded with personality and dense beautiful plummy fruit. It medium to full-bodied sloshes around in your mouth and feels velvety and smooth, the tannins tucked in nicely with gentle oak support. It’s beautifully crafted for a wine at this price and the sweet focused Mclaren Vale Shiraz flavours are nicely balanced by notes of milk chocolate and liquorice, a pleasing dried herb savouriness and pretty floral violets nuances.

If you want a go-to South Australian Shiraz that delivers both quality and value, this is your wine. Very, very impressed with this…!

93It saw old (French) oak only. It’s fresh and raring to go but it has good volume too. In fact there’s a heartiness to the fruit here. Plums, violets, forest berries and a minted licorice character. It’s damn tasty and damn good to drink. No hesitation in recommending this.

Medium-bodied magic. Perfume. A dusting of fine pepper. Very pretty, clean and fresh red berry fruit character. All of this woven together seamlessly, slick and satiny. It draws long and fine and seems to linger forever. Very attractive wine. Very good producer here.
