Izway Rob and Les Shiraz 2018 - Barossa Valley
This wine is a dedication to all Grandparents and is named after two of ours – Robert and Leslie. It would have been great to have a glass of this wine with them at the bowls club or on a fishing trip. A great value wine that has balance and structure and will age beautifully over the next 5 – 10 years.
Beef Fillet with Bordelaise Style Sauce.
Our wine making is simple and minimalistic and is based on old world, hands on techniques. We start our ferments naturally and then inoculate with cultured yeast towards the end of ferment. We limit our acid additions as much as possible, we rarely use nutrient, never use tannin or any other additions and we never fine or filter our wines. We use all old oak (apart from 2 barrels a year) and age some of our wine in large oak Fudre (2.4kL). We also use some whole bunch winemaking with Grenache and Mataro and only destem (we don’t crush) our Shiraz.
We both love the purity and energy of natural wines and these are the styles that we are emulating. We would like to think our wines are a true expression of the terroir from which they are sourced and all of our winemaking philosophies are based around expressing terroir as truly as possible.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
