Mouth-wateringly creamy flavours of lemon curd and jasmine are cradled by lightly toasted oak. A beautifully fruity, textured and mouth-filling chardonnay, it’s masterfully constructed and incredibly more-ish. Teams up brilliantly with roast chicken, pork and ginger gyoza or hard goats cheese.

For us Chardonnay is all about balance. Firstly and most crucially the vineyards we select are meticulously cared for, which grow fruit with natural balance between the main elements of wine – sugar, flavor, and acidity. Our job is to harness these elements and nurture the fruit through the winemaking process, coaxing out texture through regular lees stirring. This wine pairs well with many of your favourite dishes, weaving elegantly around flavours without dominating your palate.

Our notes

The Wine Front
Just beautiful. This is chardonnay going for gold. It has plenty of oomph too; nothing wimpy here. Peaches, pears, grapefruit, nougat and cedarwood. Both variety and oak get a good unashamed workout. There you go. Quality, nailed.

Halliday Wine Companion 2020
A soften than usual framework for '17, white flesh stone fruit and melon combine with subtle oak, the acidity providing a path to follow in dreams.

The Real Review
A delicious wine with good balance and flavour. It has a core of composed grapefruit and fresh pear, plus refreshing integrated acidity. There is impressive detail in the form of oatmeal and clotted cream. I like the palate softness and overall roundness of the wine. Well-made, well-balanced and satisfying.

Producers notes

In Dreams is a project that has been evolving for the past 8 years. It is a long story that began as a conversation over the phone in Portugal, moved to a chat over a coffee in Armadale, skipped over the ditch to Central Otago and finally came to fruition in the Yarra Valley in 2013.

We aim to make wines that are an honest reflection of this stunning region, wines with elegance, restraint, complexity and balance. We source our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from three low yielding, premium quality vineyards. The vineyards are predominantly from the upper Yarra Valley due to the cooler micro climate that helps us capture the elegance and finesse of these noble varieties.

We are focused on allowing the vineyards to express themselves in the resulting wines using traditional winemaking techniques such as small batch fermentation, wild yeast and the delicate use of French oak.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
