Rebus Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine crafted to stay true to it’s heritage as an icon of the Margaret River region. Our first release was in 2012.

Since then, Rebus has made friends with people and proteins across Australia. An intricate tapestry of glazed cherries, violets and graphite, deftly woven into a palate laden with flavours of red currants, cacao nib and plum skin. Bristling tannin on the entry and a tensile core of licorice, black berries and slate, culminates in a persistent and ever-changing mineral finish.

Our notes

The Wine Front
Last vintage, I mentioned that they spelled my name ‘Garry’ on the samples, and noted it normally incurs a minus one point penalty. This year, my name was spelled correctly, and then scrubbed out, with a hand written ‘Garrry’ to replace it. Plus one point for attention to detail, and a sense of humour. Note the use of ‘spelled’, rather than ‘spelt’, to humor the American winemaker. Red and black fruits, fresh rubbed mint, gum leaf and baking spices, perhaps a bit of cocoa. Medium bodied, supple and a little bit juicy, and while not especially concentrated, does have an easy-going charm and flow, with lovely fine grained tannin and savoury tobacco flavours playing out on the long finish.

Producers notes

Domaine Naturaliste is the new Margaret River venture of award-winning winemaker Bruce Dukes. Domaine Naturaliste wines are characterised by their softness, perfume and texture. Bruce begins with his agronomist’s passion for soil science and sustainable agricultural and production practices.

Then he applies his well-honed intuitive flair to create a midline balance of taste, fragrance and texture. Bruce Dukes’ ability to make great wine is grounded in his agronomy smarts. Add to this his winemaker’s intuition and artistry and you have the formula for exceptional drinking experiences.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
