This Pinot Noir has a beautiful ruby colour. It has pleasant, fresh, red-fruit aromas on the nose, which we find again on the palate. It has rich and very ripe substance, with fine round tannins. It's a very well-structured and pleasing wine.

This wine comes mainly from plots situated in Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.

The wine is matured in vats for 12 to 14 months in our cellars in Nuits-Saint-Georges and is given the same attention as our Côte de Nuits wines.

Our notes

Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir is well-balanced and is enjoyable now, but it could also be cellared for several years. Serve with red meats, pork and creamy cheeses. A great introduction to the wines of Burgundy from this dynamic producer in a hail affected vintage.

"Faiveley's 2016 Bourgogne Pinot Noir reveals a lovely bouquet of ripe cherries, grilled meats and woodsmoke, framed by a light touch of reduction that rapidly dissipates in the glass. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with juicy acids and youthfully chewy structuring tannins. It's a hearty, successful effort in a vintage that didn't always lend itself to generic Bourgogne, which tended to be hit hard by frost."

Producers notes

Founded in 1825, Bourgognes Faiveley has been handed down from father to son for over 175 years. As the sixth generation to take the reins, François Faiveley manages, with equal amounts passion and competence, the largest family domaine in Burgundy. Methodically reconstructing vineyards fractured by French inheritance laws, Bourgognes Faiveley today owns more appellations in their entirety (monopoles) than any other domaine in Burgundy.

Shipping

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
