Chateau Senejac Haut Medoc 2015 - Bordeaux
Bottle size: 750ml
The wines of Sénéjac are characterized by a deep color almost black in their young years. The very expressive nose exhales scents of black fruits and spices. In mouth, Sénéjac presents a lot of fullness and intensity while remaining suave and civilized thanks to the smoothness of its tannins.
Château Sénéjac 2015 offers a beautiful red colour with brilliant reflections. The first nose is precise, with cherry notes. It is prolonged by spicy notes, sign of the presence of Petit Verdot. The attack in mouth is fresh, balanced and smooth. The tannins are silky and distinguished. On the palate, the fruits are ripe and fleshy. The finish is long, precise, with a beautiful aromatic intensity. This vintage thus presents a very beautiful potential of guard, it is an elegant, aromatic wine, of a beautiful tannic smoothness which will delight all the amateurs of médoc.
The soil of Château Sénéjac is located halfway between Margaux and Bordeaux, on the clayey-gravelly crest of the commune of Pian-Médoc.
The soil is therefore covered with gravel and the proportion varies according to the location of the plot. The gravel allows rapid and efficient drainage, favouring the appearance of early hydric stress during the vegetative cycle.
This soil is naturally poor in organic matter which favours the expression of the great Cabernet Sauvignon
The vines are typical of the Médoc with a majority of Cabernet-Sauvignon (52%), followed by Merlot (36%), Cabernet-Franc (8%) and a touch of Petit Verdot (4%).
