Chateau de Segries Cotes du Rhone 2018 - Rhone Valley
Alc: 14.0%
Closure: Cork
Bottle size: 750ml
Owner Henri de Lanzac (cousin of the Delorme family of Domaine de la Mordorée) purchased Chateau de Segries in 1994 from Count Henri de Regis, the founder of the Lirac AOC. Lirac wines have been produced in the Southern Rhone Valley since before Roman times, when they were favorites of the kings and popes of Avignon. In the late 1700’s, production was high, but in 1863 phylloxera hit. The area struggled to recover until the early 1900’s. In the 1930’s, Count Henri de Régis began working to improve the quality of wines, vintage after vintage. In 1945, he obtained the highest distinction, a cru, of the Côtes du Rhône. Lirac is the oldest recorded wine of the Côtes du Rhône region, and was the first to be produced in red, white and rosé. It became an AOC in 1947.
Our notes
This is a blend of 33% Grenache, 33% Syrah, and 33% Mourvedre showing lush, concentrated medium to full-bodied flavours of spicy dark summer berries infused with wild garrigue herbs, tar, and lifted floral notes of violet and withered rose.

Shipping
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
