Fairly typical of the best of this style from the Gippsland region with the added mineral complexities we attribute to our granite soils.  This Pinot Noir is earthy and complex, lively and elegant with great depth and persistence, along with some violet and cherry notes.

Our notes

18 May, 2019 – Crisp and focused red with succulent whole-berry and cream aromas and flavors with lovely tannins. Tension and softness. A thoughtful and satisfying pinot. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.

Producers notes

Cannibal Creek Vineyard is our home and our way of life. We planted the vines over 20 years ago and we still tend the vines by hand today.

I've spent my career in hospitality but establishing this Vineyard has been life changing.  I'm reminded of this most mornings as I hike the granite range of Mt Cannibal, the sun rising over green, and I look back to the vines we planted twenty years ago with Pat's parents Terry & Kath.  I feel a deep connection to this beautiful part of the Victoria, and a responsibility to do it justice in the bottle and on the plate.

While we didn’t set out to win awards, reviews on our first Pinot Noir gave us added confidence in the vineyard’s potential. After two decades of natural handling and light touch approach, we believe that today we are beginning to realise the true, impressive potential of what this terroir can produce.

Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)

In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.

The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").

Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.

For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.

Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
