Bondar Grenache Rose 2020 - McLaren Vale
Closure: Screw cap
Bottle size: 750 ml
Features 89% Grenache and 11% Cinsault, sourced from both Bondar's Estate vineyard and another local grower. The latter's contribution was fermented cooler, with some solids in stainless steel, to preserve brightness and purity of fruit; while the former was fermented at warmer temperatures in old oak to build mouthfeel and savoury aromatics. Taken together, these two components form a wine marked by brightness and depth.
Scott texted me earlier in the week with this enthusiastic note ‘Had the Bondar Rosé last night. Bloody delicious rosé. Definitely 'Wine of the Week' material in my book.”
Bondar Wines is the brainchild of Andre and Selina Bondar, two passionate individuals, one a winemaker, the other, Selina, an ex-lawyer, who decided the long, tedious hours behind a desk were far from what suited her.
Founded in March 2012 this Mclaren Vale winery was quickly catapulted into the media when it was named James Halliday’s 'Best New Winery' in his 2017 Australian Wine Companion. The wines are superb right across the range. They bristle with energy, are light on their feet, savoury, and definitely stand out as unique expressions of Mclaren Vale, or as Andre would say ‘different'. We love them!
We are a little family wine company making wines from our favourite regions McLaren vale and Adelaide Hills. Our home is the iconic Rayner Vineyard in McLaren Vale. We want to make wines that are lighter, brighter, more savoury, structured and intriguing. Different. In August 2016 we were honoured to be named James Halliday's Best New Winery in his 2017 Australian Wine Companion.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
