Bellvale Pinot Noir is one of our favourites, perfumed, silky and delicious.   An absolute bargain!

I know it's a big call, and we don't make it lightly, but is Bellvale Australia's best value Pinot Noir producer at the moment? Bellvale’s Pinot Noir is produced from a single vineyard and dry grown. The high-density planting and very low yields combine to produce wines of finesse and elegance with restrained, silky tannins and powerful expressions of flavour.

Pinot Noir drinkers. Be warned. This is the business!

This week's wine is one of Australia's truly great Pinot Noir bargains. It's the new release 2023 and the finest release so far from this Victorian Gippsland winery, Bellvale!

This is all hand-picked fruit from a family-run winery, and quite frankly, we don't know how winemaker John Ellis does it at this price!

Beautiful pinosity, which is so rare for a sub $30 Pinot Noir. Fragrance. Elegance. Flavour.

Quite simply an awesome Pinot Noir that is hard to beat on quality and price.  Very highly recommended!

Producers notes

Established in 1998, Bellvale Wine is a family-owned business run by principal winemaker and viticulturalist, John Ellis. Situated in the lush Tarwin River valley of South Gippsland, the area is acknowledged as one of Australia’s best Pinot-Noir producing regions. This is reflected in Bellvale’s numerous international and national awards over the last 20 years.
