Bellvale Pinot Noir - Gippsland
Closure: Screw cap
Bottle size: 750ml
I know it’s a big call, and we don’t make it lightly, but Is this Australia’s best value pinot noir? Personal preferences aside we think it actually might be!
The 2017 Vintage of this wine was a sensation in our store and by far our best selling pinot noir. The quality was quite remarkable for the price, reinforced by the almost cult-like following it had with our customers, so when our supplier ran out we were a tad nervous to try the followup release, this 2018.
Well we're happy to report that the 2018 is looking really beautiful, and for many pinot purists it will be even better than the excellent 2017, with more energy, fragrance, and pinosity Furthermore the fruit for this comes from a family run dry grown vineyard in the Tarwin River Valley of South Gippsland, all hand picked, no machines. The only thing that is puzzling about this lovely pinot is how Bellvale owner/winemaker John Ellis can release it at this price?
This is absolutely delicious… and a dead set pinot bargain! A rare bird indeed
Our notes: Beautiful varietal pinot nose and lovely mid-weight palate of perfumed wild strawberry, sour cherries and bright plum fruit infused with delicate earth and savoury forest floor notes, dried herbs and subtle cedar oak.
Established in 1998, Bellvale Wine is a family-owned business run by principal winemaker and viticulturalist, John Ellis. Situated in the lush Tarwin River valley of South Gippsland, the area is acknowledged as one of Australia’s best Pinot-Noir producing regions. This is reflected in Bellvale’s numerous international and national awards over the last 20 years.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
