Barale Barolo Cannubi 2015 - Piedmont
Bottle size: 750ml
Maximum buy quantity no greater than 5 bottles.
Appellation: Municipality of Barolo, Cannubi vineyard.
Vinification: soft crushing of the grapes with de-stemming; static fermentation in oak casks with indigenous yeasts selected from our vineyards; maceration for about 30 days, frequent basting of the skins.
Colour: garnet red with orange hues.
Nose: full-bodied with natural balsamic notes, recalling ripe red fruit, dried rose and violet.
Mouth: dry, robust and velvety; rich in elegant tannins of ripe fruit.
Classic Nebbiolo aromas of perfumed berry, rose petal, iris, new leather and balsamic whiffs of camphor shape the expressive nose. Smooth and enveloping, the full-bodied delicious palate doles out raspberry compote, juicy morello cherry, cinnamon and star anise framed in polished, velvety tannins. (7/2020)
The last Cannubi from Barale. Sergio Barale gave his vineyard holdings to his late brother’s sons. I wouldn’t mind an uncle like that! This is Cannubi from Cannubi proper. Importer: David Ridge Wines
Strawberry, red cherry, rose petal, plenty of sweet spice (not oak derived) and a dash of white pepper. Fleshy, perfumed and pliant, a gentle dusting of tannin, distinct Aranciata flavour here too, unobtrusive acidity, spiced strawberries and more of that orange peel flavour on a long finish. Of course it will improve, though there’s certainly plenty here to keep you busy as at now.
Delivery is currently free of charge for both straight and mixed cases Australia Wide. (*excludes remote postcodes in WA and NT) (*excludes fundraising orders)
In most instances, a case is 12 bottles, including all mixed cases. Please note that the case quantity can vary between 3-12 bottles, depending on individual wine value and packaging configuration.
The number of bottles that define a straight case is marked in the product pricing page (i.e. "as part of any 6", "single bottle" and "3 or 6 or 12 bottle case").
Where all or part of the order is less than a case (as defined in the product pricing options, or 12 bottles if mixed) shipping will be charged as per your postcode at our cost price, this charge amount will be visible before your order confirmation and payment.
For example, a mixed bottle order of 18 bottles will include a freight charge for the second mixed case of only 6 bottles. A mixed 24 bottle order would be totally freight free.
Our intention is to offer free shipping to as many wine lovers as possible, however, given the geographically vast size of Australia, it is not possible for us to offer free shipping to 100% of postcodes.
