World class sparkling is one of the calling cards of Tasmanian wine. Barringwood’s NV Tasmanian Cuvée is crafted with handpicked fruit from their Evandale vineyard located at the southern end of the Tamar Valley. With a fine bead, bright citrus, white flowers, hints of strawberry, apple and brioche. Crisp, fresh citrus acidity drives through a nicely weighted complex palate. A beautiful start to a vinous tour of Tasmania.

Full bodied rose or light, chilled red? Either way you spin it you’re in for a treat. From the team at Ghost Rock, Supernatural Summer Skins is based on Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris and is all ripe cherries, raspberry and cranberry zing, blood orange and amaro herbs. Get it chilled for supreme texture and refreshment.

One of the stalwarts of the Tamar Valley, Rebecca and Tim Duffy have been behind a multitude of fabulous wines produced in the region for almost 20 years. Their 2023 Pinot Noir is highly aromatic, with beautiful dark cherry and strawberry characters on the nose with earthy, spicy complexity. Finely poised, with wonderful fruit intensity, vibrant acidity and fine silky tannins, this is everything we love about Tamar Pinot.

From brothers Matthew and Jonny Hughes based in Flowerpot, the 2023 Hughes & Hughes Pinot Noir is drawn mostly from vineyards in the Derwent Valley, with the remainder from the Coal River and Tamar Valleys. A wave of wild cherry, ripe strawberry and plum, complemented by exotic spice, red liquorice and violets. Finely textured tannins wrap up a core of black cherry fruit. Supple, detailed and delicious Pinot Noir that will likely become your new go-to Tassie Pinot Noir.

One of Tasmania’s finest producers, the Pooley family have been crafting exceptional wines in the Coal River Valley since 1985 and their Rieslings are not to be missed. Remarkably pure and pristine, with aromas of lemon pith, poached pears, lime blossom, crushed stone and wafts of lanolin and mountain herbs. With a textured finish and nervy acidity, this is a superb example of the delights of cool climate, Tassie Riesling.

TMV is a snapshot of the Tamar Valley in any given year, from the perspective of TTT. With an endless number of aspects and micro climates, the wine is produced from five sites from throughout the Tamar Valley. These sites together express what we love most about chardonnay from this Tassie sub region. Picked right on time, the palate is fresh, yet generous. There’s a lovely sea spray character which carries you into perfectly ripe peach and lemon curd on the palate. The wine went through partial malolactic fermentation, and the acid is pure and long.
