The tiny Barbaresco district includes the four villages of Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso and San Rocco. Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, grown in the DOCG Barbaresco’s district. Grapes are grown from 200 to 400 meters above sea level (600 to 1300 feet) on steep, sunny facing hills. On the nose, the bouquet brings the typical notes of red fruits, plums and cherries. On the palate, it is delicate, velvety and well-balanced with its fresh acidity.
The Alba viticultural area covers both the town of Alba and the surrounding Langhe hills, and overlaps with those of Piedmont's two most famous red wines – Barolo and Barbaresco. All around Alba, are the kind of rolling hills which have come to symbolize the Piedmontese landscape. Very fruity on the palate, with fine acidity and medium body.
Monvigliero has always been considered the "Grand Cru" of the commune of Verduno, as well as one of the most prestigious vineyards of the entire appellation. A natural amphitheater facing southwest characterized by a particularly dry climate and light, loose soils that push the vines to give their best. From Monvigliero come iconic Barolos for finesse and elegance that, while not renouncing a hint of austerity, prove to be true sons of the Verduno lands thanks to one of the widest and most complex aromatic ranges of the entire appellation, played in particular on notes of flowers and spices. On the nose, the bouquet brings the typical notes of red fruits, plums and cherries, and spices, such as pepper. On the palate, it is delicate, velvety and well-balanced with its fresh acidity.
Ignored for generations, Verduno’s Pelaverga was rediscovered by a group of producers during the 1970s. Today, it is a much-appreciated wine possessing as it does some highly original characteristics and a lovely spicy aroma. The grapes are particularly crunchy and tasty when eaten raw. A typical old Piedmontese wine, grown on the hills of Verduno from where it gets its origin denomination. A light brilliant red color with a pink hint, assuming an orange tinge when aged. A rich and spicy fragrance with a cherry scent when young. A spicy fragrance of white pepper can be detected. Excellent with cured meats, first courses and dishes with mushrooms. It should be consumed at a temperature of 17/18°C.
Typical indigenous Piedmontese white wine obtained from the same named vine, grown on the sandy of Roero hills. A pale yellow color with accentuated a greenish tinge. On the nose it develops floral notes reminiscent of dog rose, peach blossom, wild cherry and hints of blueberry. Good acidity shows on the mouth, with freshness and great minerality on entry, followed by warmer sensations with light, linear tannins and fruity, flowery flavors. Excellent as an aperitif or with fish dishes. It is advised to consume this wine when it is young and at a temperature of 8-10°C.
Only recently included in Bel Colle’s cultivation plots, Bussia is the most famous vineyard in Monforte d’Alba, a true icon of Barolo. An area of absolute value that Bel Colle has the honour of cultivating in one of its highest portions near the village of the same name, with excellent south-southwest exposure. Intense garnet red, ample and elegant bouquet, delicately spiced with hints of flowers and small red fruits. On the palate an opulent structure buoyed by soft tannins overlaid with ripe fruits and liquorice.
